Partnerships
We consider collaborations that make sense beside attentive stories about ordinary life. Suitable work may include a clearly identified partner feature or a relevant placement across the publication, provided readers can readily tell who is behind it and what is editorial.
Possible collaborations
We are open to carefully matched cultural, creative and community projects, as well as partner placements that are relevant to readers interested in memory, rituals, places and the things people keep. Proposals should explain the subject, intended audience, format and proposed duration. We do not accept placements that rely on misleading claims or present paid promotion as independent editorial work.
Clear labelling
Partner features and paid placements are labelled clearly at the point where readers encounter them. Labels identify the material as a partnership or paid placement; they are not hidden in fine print. Editorial articles remain separate, and a partner cannot require a favourable editorial conclusion.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include enough detail for us to understand the proposed material, its fit with the publication and how it would be presented. A proposal is an opening conversation, not a promise to publish or carry a placement.
The ordinary is never quite ordinary
A chipped mug, a familiar walk, the pause before a door opens: small details can hold more than they first let on. We look closely without insisting every moment needs a grand meaning.
